In one of the most popular areas of Germany, you will find the organic farm Dengler Hof, which is a typical Bavarian farm. The Fichtelgebirge area near the Czech border is a massive draw, and is where this organic farm is conveniently located within the Egertal nature reserve surrounded by typical Fichtelgebirgshalle forests. It is about 55 minutes from Bayreuth and 35 minutes from Hof.
The recently restored hof was originally built in the 18th century. For as long as 30 years now, the farm has been farmed organically. Guests can experience agriculture and forestry operated with the help of horses here. In addition to the farm’s horses are a Shetland Pony, backwoods cattle, Shropshire sheep, chickens, rabbits, cats, and dogs. The pony and horse riding offered at Dengler Hof is a great experience for children and adults alike. Please note that guests dogs must be registered with the booking, and only sociable, good-natured dogs are welcome.
There are plenty of waterside features here. The ponds have trout, and near the meadow that includes the tents, you will find a swimming pool for children (depth of 90cm), ideal for the warmer days! Just 200 meters from the farm you can enjoy canoeing on the Eger. You can even set out on a guided canoe trip!
The Fichtelgebirge and the nature reserve Egertal offer excellent hiking, cycling, and mountain biking opportunities. The rock labyrinth in Wunsiedel Luisenburg, with Europe’s oldest open-air museum and its renowned Festival, can be reached in about 20 minutes. A 40-minute drive away is Ochsenkopf, which has a climbing park and summer toboggan run. The Porcelain Museum in Hohenberg and market in Selb are also nearby Arche Hof.
On our farm, you can experience the relaxation you are looking for in and around the natural swimming pond, and by helping with the horses.
A hearty welcome to the Dengler Hof!
