New farms have been added to the Feather Down family. Expand your glamping adventure and be one of the first to experience these new farms in the UK as well as in France and The Netherlands.
Feather Down has just added a beautiful location in Ilfracombe, North Devon. Ilfracombe Farm is close to the area’s most breathtaking beaches, including Woolacombe Bay, voted the best beach in the UK. There’s lots to do on the farm itself as well, with an indoor ball pit which will keep kids entertained for hours.
If you want to venture further afield, why not stay at Ameland Farm located on the Frisian Island where it has got its name from. The advantage of being a North Sea island is that the beach is never far away.
In France we have also welcomed a new addition. La Ferme de Ronfil, an organic farm in Lower Normandy with views of beautiful meadows and apple orchards.
In Belgium, situated in the well known Ardennen we have Ferme de Rochefort en Ardenne. There is plenty of adventures to take on in the surrounding area.
Feather Down is now in its second decade, and with every year that passes, we look to keep moving forward and add to the luxury, practicality and charm of our holidays. One way to continue improving is to add tweaks and product innovations to our Canvas Lodges and Frills Lodges, while retaining what makes Feather Down glamping unique.
The Canvas Lodge for 4 is our newest addition. The Lodge is a smaller and practical version of the original and well known Canvas Lodge. Small families or a group of friends will be able to spend their Feather Down glamping holiday in this charming new accommodation, exclusively available at East Shilvinghampton.
The Log Cabin for Two is our brand new cabin that specially designed for romantic getaways. All the benefits of a usual Feather Down holiday, but in a much more intimate setting which allows you to reconnect with your special someone.
The Log Cabin for Four is our new cabin for smaller families who want to benefit from the usual Feather Down holiday but would want to experience that in a cabin than a tent.
The New Canvas Frills Lodge, available at East Shilvinghampton, is an improvement on our classic design based on feedback from guests. There’s additional insulation in the roof, making the tent cosier to sleep and relax in. Insulation is also improved by the new wooden doors at the entrance to the tent. The shutters on the bedroom windows can now be opened and closed from the inside, so they’re far more convenient for guests to operate. Finally, a covered awning in front of the tent increases the surface by a third, so the tent feels even more spacious.
The Canvas Lodge for 10 has been upgraded for the new season, improving a tent which was already extremely popular with large groups. As of July 2017 the tent has:
In the UK we have already made some innovations to the standard Canvas Lodge which now has a canopy, as of July 2018 our locations in The Netherlands, France and Germany will also follow.
